How to Use

Aromatherapy: Aadrea Ylang Ylang oil is used in aromatherapy, to calm frazzled or imbalanced emotions, such as anger, resentment, and envy. The ooil can be used in a diffuser singly or with other essential oils, using a concentration of up to 25 drops of oil for every 200ml of clean water. Topically (for use on skin when incorporated in a body massage), it helps to boost the libido, heighten sexual arousal, elevate the sense of touch, and encourage intimacy and bonding between couples. Carrier oils should be used to reduce the concentration without reducing potency. For every 3-6 drops of Ylang Ylang oil, in addition to other essential oils if you prefer a blend, use at least 50ml of carrier oil (Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, Jojoba Oil are excellent local options of carrier oils). Blend with carrier oil of choice prior to massage to minimize any skin sensitivity.

Stimulates Hair Growth: Ylang Ylang Oil is a popular natural ingredient featured in hair growth and anti-dandruff remedies. In particular, using it in a nourishing scalp massage is believed to help clear the scalp, lessen flakiness, and open up clogged follicles. Blend with fractionated coconut oil as a carrier for use in your hair spray or to apply to hair roots. It will also leave your hair smelling great.

Inhalation: The oil’s benefits can be obtained by direct inhalation. Add 2-3 drops in handkerchief, place over nose and inhale. Using a Diffuser/Humidifier: Use three to six drops in diffuser of choice with clean water to generate the vapour.

Cosmetic, Skin and Face: The essential oil is known for balancing and regulating oil production in the skin and hair to prevent excessive dryness and oiliness. Used in baths, soaps and ointments, the essential oil can revitalise / promote a clear skin and promote relaxation. Use 5 drops with 1 cup pink Himalayan salt, and ¼ cup baking soda, added to a bath for a relaxing end of day home-spa experience.

Bug Repellent: For deterring harmful insects that may bite you or infest your garden, consider Ylang Ylang oil as a natural alternative to chemical products. It has a very long repellent effect on Aedes aegypti mosquitoes.

Cosmetic use: Because it’s an anti-inflammatory, it has the ability to address a range of skin issues, including puffiness, redness, and swelling. Also, as noted above, Ylang Ylang’s promotion of blood circulation improves the elasticity of skin and keeps it looking healthy.
