Indications (benefits from use of product):

Aadrea Lemon essential oil is a citrus extract. It possesses antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, anticancer and antiparasitic properties. When correctly applied, the oil has been associated with reduced anxiety and depression, morning sickness, improved skin profile, pain relief, cold symptoms relief, energy boost, acne reduction, healing wounds and treating fungi. It is beneficial for all forms of domestic cleaning and deodorising, from degreasing kitchen utensils, dishes to bath and bathroom furniture and fixtures.

How to Use:

Improving Hair and Scalp: Lemon essential oil contains high levels of vitamins A and C, which are essential for healthy hair growth. Vitamin A helps to produce sebum, which is a natural oil that keeps your scalp and hair moisturized. Vitamin C, on the other hand, helps to improve circulation to the scalp, which can promote healthy hair growth. It can promote reduction in dandruff, removing excess oil, and adding shine to your hair. Simply blend a few drops of lemon oil with a carrier oil (coconut, jojoba or other), massage into scalp and leave for 30 minutes. You may follow this with a lemon oil rinse, by mixing a few drops of lemon oil with clean warm water for the rinse. You may also simply add to a shampoo and conditioner a few drops of the oil, before applying to your hair.

Inhalation and Diffusion: Lemon essential oil can be diluted and applied topically to your skin, as well as diffused into the air and inhaled. Add 2-3 drops in handkerchief, place over nose and inhale. Use three to six drops in diffuser of choice with clean water to generate the vapour. The oil can be used singly or in blends with other oils to maximise the benefit.

Aromatherapy massage: Aadrea Lemon essential oil is used in aromatherapy massage, good for oily skin and acne, lymphatic drainage massage, promote easier breathing while clearing the mind, lifting mood, and promoting feelings of energy, revitalization, and rejuvenation, and for fighting infection. A carrier oil of choice should be selected before the dilution is done. For every 3-6 drops of Lemon essential oil, use at least 5ml of carrier oil (Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, Jojoba Oil are excellent local options of carrier oils). Blend with carrier oil of choice prior to massage to minimize any skin sensitivity.

Sanitisation and Cleaners: Add 5 to 6 drops of lemon oil to one ounce of water in a spray bottle to clean, disinfect, and deodorize countertops, sinks, tables, wood cutting boards, appliances, and other surfaces. For polishing wood furniture, as part of a natural furniture polish, simply add 3 drops of lemon essential oil to 1/4 cup of olive oil and apply with a rag to clean, protect, and shine wood finishes.

Cosmetic use: Because it’s an anti-inflammatory, it has the ability to address a range of skin issues, including puffiness, redness, and swelling. Also, as noted above, Lemon’s promotion of blood circulation improves the elasticity of skin and keeps it looking healthy.

Herbal Supplement: Lemon Oil possibly has the most powerful anti-microbial activity of all the essential oils. Both the Lemon fruit and the essential oil have been used in Ayurvedic medicines for thousands of years to treat a vast range of health issues. Lemon Essential Oil is known to be invigorating, cleansing, and purifying. A few drops of oil in your tea, water or fruit juice have been known to improve flavour as well as impart the benefits associated with the oil.

Side effects and management in event of misuse/ingestion:

Drinking concentrated Lemon oil can give rise to a range of health risks, including upset digestion, hyperacidity, and even skin issues like sun sensitivity and increased redness. In event of accidental overdose, decongest yourself by either taking a lot more water to dilute the concentration, as you seek professional medical support.
