Aromatherapy using Diffuser /Humidifier

The simplest form of aromatherapy is achieved when you breathe in essential oil molecules. On this page, we emphasise the use of pure natural organic essential oils made with care, to be used in a good quality diffuser or a humidifier, and in some instances an air freshener/spritzer unit (a bottle with an atomizer cap).

The purpose of aromatherapy is for your body sensory system (through your nostrils) to receive the essential oil elements and transmit signals to the part of the brain which controls functions such as breathing, heart rate, blood pressure, memory, stress levels and hormone balance. This very elaborate chemistry has been interrogated by experts severally and the therapeutic potential of differnet essential oils, when applied aromatically, has also been reconfirmed scientifically. Essential oils have different beneficial attributes in aromatherapy, and several of them can be diffused as a single ingredient with water. However, we recommend to you the listed essential oil blends, and encourage you to use online and documented references to expand your knowledge of different benefits of diffusing oils.

We recommend 10 – 25 drops of Aadrea Essential Oils, combined, for every 100mls (or 1/2 cup) of purified water added to your diffuser. If you require to add more water, above 100mls, increase the number of essential oil drops in similar ratio to the amount of water added. You do not need for an emulsifier or an additive such as a carrier oil, for diffusion. Atleast 3 but not more than 5 oils are sufficient for a good diffuser blend.

Breathe Easier, Better

Essential oils for respiratory relief possess great antiviral, anti inflammatory and antibacterial properties, helping to improve coughs, including the common cold, flu, or chest infections. Essential oils may help soothe the throat, reduce inflammation, and clear away mucus. The oils are constantly in use as ingredients in chest and vapor rubs (over the counter treatments), natural care products, and inhalers.

Using pure and potent essential oils could be a short cut to obtaining some  relief and perhaps overcoming complications in the longer term. The potency of pure essential oils is not in dispute, and therefore, you are in the right direction to enhance your wellness and health. Some highly effective essential oils used in complementary alternative therapies are Eucalyptus globulus, Rosemary, Peppermint, Cinnamon, Teatree, Cypress, Oregano, Thyme, Frankincese, Bergamot, Clove, Black pepper, Lavender, Holy Basil among many others.

The blends (oil combinations) below can aid you in your own exploration. Do not forget that no one single combination works for all people.

Bringing in the Great Outdoors

Foresty skies in Uganda

The great outdoors. The freshness of nature without limitation. From the evergreens, conifers and fresh blooms, to the lush greens in the meadows and the bubbling creek. Some studies suggest that being outside in nature is relaxing, reducing our stress, cortisol levels, muscle tension and heart rates – all of which are risk factors for cardiovascular disease.

Using Aadrea Essential Oils in your blends, you can retrace a forest walk, a bench sit in the park, a visit to your flower garden or a canoe ride down the river. While this should not replace the outdoor activity, it may be useful in signalling to your brain of the need to get out and about. The outdoors present a uniquely beneficial therapy for different personalities. From the hiker, climber, bird water, naturalist, to the scientist, essential oil therapy now gives you the option to recreate the outdoors in your house, office, workspace.
