How to Use:

Respiratory Issues and Cough: A natural antispasmodic and respiratory tonic, cypress oil can help relieve respiratory issues, help clear the throat, reduce nasal and chest congestion, and can also treat a cough. To use, you can inhale directly from the bottle, or add a few drops to a diffuser or to a warm bath. For chest congestion, dilute 3-4 drops in a carrier oil and massage directly onto the chest area.

Detox through steaming: Cypress oil helps to detoxify the body, primarily through sweating. Apply 2—3 drops during your next detox to help rid your body of unwanted toxins.

Inhalation: Cypress essential oil is beneficial to relieve stress and anxiety. Add 2-3 drops in handkerchief, place over nose and inhale.

Using a Diffuser/Humidifier: Apply 3-6 drops in diffuser of choice with clean water to generate the vapour. As a Natural Deodorizer, place a few drops of cypress in stinky shoes, diffuse to eliminate odours, and even add to your deodorant for an extra boost.

Aromatherapy and Clinical massage: Cypress essential oil is used in aromatherapy, to support healthy circulation and confers an especially soothing touch that has made it popular in blends addressing tired, restless, or aching muscles. You can make a quick and easy refreshing massage blend by adding 2 to 6 drops of Cypress essential oil to 10mls of a preferred carrier oil (jojoba, coconut, wheat germ or olive oils). Rub this simple blend into preferred areas of the body and breathe in its scent to open the airways and perk up the skin with a renewed sense of energy. This blend is also suitable for use in an invigorating bath to add a purifying influence.

Bug Repellent: Owing to its Citral and Geraniol content, Cypress essential oil is known to repel bugs such as mosquitoes and ants. This natural repellent has a mild smell and can be sprayed directly on the skin. You can even use Cypress essential oil to kill fleas; add about five drops of oil to water and create your own spray, then apply the spray to targeted areas, and your pet’s coat.

Cosmetic use: Reduce the Appearance of Cellulite, Varicose Veins, Acne and Deep Pore Cleanser – cypress essential oil also has a relaxing effect on fascia. By regularly applying a few drops of cypress oil, diluted in a carrier oil, and massaging onto the skin, cypress oil can help diminish the appearance of varicose veins over time. Cypress oil is also a natural astringent and can help reduce the appearance of oil on the skin, without drying it out. This makes it a great spot treatment for the occasional pimple as well as a regular face treatment for acne prone skin. To use, apply a few drops (diluted in a carrier oil) directly onto the face after cleansing, avoiding the eye area. As a pore cleanser, cypress oil naturally draws out toxins and impurities from the skin, helps to shrink pores, and firm loose sagging skin. With regular daily use, you can expect natural detoxification which will expose newly regenerated skin for an increased glow in your complexion!

Dandruff Treatment: Cypress oil can help treat dandruff, by attacking the bacteria or fungus that caused it, and relieve symptoms of flaking and itching of the scalp. Simply add a few drops to your shampoo or apply directly to the scalp (diluted in a carrier oil).
