Body Massage blends

Spa treatment is rapidly becoming an essential elective part of health and wellness choices for many folks. It is not uncommon for our bodies and minds to build stress and tensions in our celebral membranes, body tissues, muscles and skeletal system. Spa therapy using essential oils for massage benefits include (i) relaxation and stress relief, (ii) pain relief (iii) skin and body toning (iv) specialist treatments such as ayurveda and meditation.

The ratio of 5 drops of essential oil for massage (or essential oils blend) in 100 drops (5ml) of carrier oil is simple and ideal for many, however personal preferences can be adopted as well. Just do not over do it. A wide range of carrier oils is available, we recommend Aloe Vera, Jojoba, Olive, Avocado or Fractionated Coconut Oil as carrier oils for body massage.

Relaxation

  • Cypress – 20 drops
  • Lavender – 20 drops
  • Clary Sage – 10 drops
  • Vetiver – 20 drops
  • Bergamot – 30 drops

Use 5 drops of the blended oils in 100ml of carrier oil

Muscle Aches

  • Eucalyptus – 15 drops
  • Rosemary – 15 drops
  • Peppermint – 15 drops

Blend the pure essential oils together and add to 60ml of a carrier oil – Grapeseed Oil is recommended for this ache relieving blend

Sensual/Aphrodisiac massage I

  • Peppermint – 1 drop
  • Black pepper – 1 drop

Use Fractionated coconut oil – 5ml; blend in bottle and use for sensual massage

Sensual/Aphrodisiac massage II

  • Rose – 1 drop
  • Ylang Ylang – 1 drop
  • Clary Sage – 1 drop
  • Jasmine – 1 drop

5ml aloe-vera or coconut oil; use for sensual massage

Head massage

  • Rosemary – 10 drops
  • Peppermint – 15 drops
  • 60ml carrier – jojoba oil

Foot massage

  • Lavender – 30 drops OR
  • Chamomile – 30 drops
  • 60ml carrier oil- fractionated coconut oil or olive oil

Hung-over (Morning after) relief

(massaging the temples)

  •  Lavender – 10 drops
  • Peppermint – 10 drops
  • 60ml cafrier oil – any of Olive oil/Grapeseed/Avocado

Relieve Sinus pressure

(massaging the temples)

  • Rosemary – 20 drops
  • Thyme – 20 drops
  • 60ml carrier – Sunflower or Olive oil

Sleep better

  • Lavender – 15 drops
  • Chamomile – 15 drops
  • 60ml carrier oil – Sweet almond oil recommended

Stress and Anxiety relief

  • Lavender – 15 drops
  • Palmarosa – 15 drops
  • Neroli – 15 drops
  • 60ml carrier oil – fractionated coconut oil
